Established by Vietnam's largest conglomerate VinGroup in 2017, VinFast is a Vietnamese car manufacturer with production facilities in both Vietnam and the United States.
In 2024 they decided to create a custom vehicle, based on their model VF8 electric SUV. This vehicle would be able to park at Cars & Coffee events and serve Vietnamese coffee from a bespoke coffee bar integrated into the cargo space. The ASV company in Torrance hired Padilla Creative to design it.

ASV in Torrance, CA. took the Padilla Creative design and had a functioning “rolling cafe” in three short weeks! Coming soon to a Cars and Coffee near you!
Built off of a vintage Ford Econoline van. this vehicle is used to promote local artists at bar venues. This initial van and it’s positive reception prompted to order more copies to expand the campaign coverage. The van was designed while at ASV Torrance, and built on site. The campaign includes artwork by Mr. Cartoon.
